Sitting in the Sahyadri foothills beside Pawna Lake, the valley gets smooth, predictable wind almost daily through the flying season — which is why nearly all tandem flights for the region launch here rather than inside the cities.
Every flight is a tandem flight: you sit in a comfortable front harness while a certified pilot launches, steers and lands the glider. A few running steps down the take-off slope and you are airborne — no training, no experience needed. Below you, the lake, terraced farms and fort-topped ridges of the Western Ghats open up in a way no viewpoint can match.
Choose between a relaxed Classic Joyride (₹2,999 weekdays / ₹3,499 weekends), an Instructional Tandem (₹3,950) where you take the controls under your pilot's guidance, or an Acro Tandem (₹4,499) with spiral dives and wing-overs. Every package includes helmet, harness, safety briefing, the jeep ride up to take-off, and free GoPro photos and videos of your flight.

Why paraglide in Kamshet?
Kamshet sits at 670 m elevation in the Western Ghats — 45 km from Pune, 19 km from Lonavala and about 110 km from Mumbai. The terrain around it is high country: ridges, valleys, Pawna Lake and hill forts, which is exactly what makes it a natural flying bowl.
What sets Kamshet apart from most Indian flying sites is what happens after take-off. Elsewhere, a paraglider often just descends to the landing field. Here, the valley's wind and thermals let pilots climb higher than the take-off height and actually soar — mountains, rivers, dams, green ridges and, on late-afternoon slots, a sunset from the sky.
The ideal season is October to May — the June–September monsoon grounds all flying. From October to January the wind flows east to west and flyable conditions run roughly 7 AM to 1:30 PM, with December–January offering smooth thermic air for gaining real height. From February to May the wind reverses — cooler sea air from the west, sometimes brisk — so summer flying happens in the evening window, around 4 PM to sunset.
