Mumbai is a city of skylines, not launch sites — the nearest proper paragliding is at Kamshet, roughly 100 km away in the Sahyadri foothills. For Mumbaikars it is the classic weekend escape: expressway to Lonavala, then the old highway to Kamshet.
The drive takes about 2.5 hours — exit the Mumbai–Pune Expressway at Lonavala and continue on NH4 to Kamshet. Trains work too: any Mumbai–Pune service to Lonavala, then a local to Kamshet station.
Once there, it is a fully arranged experience: certified tandem pilot, helmet and harness, briefing, jeep up to the take-off hill, and 8–15 minutes airborne over Pawna Lake — with free GoPro photos and video to take home.
Most Mumbai visitors make it a day or a weekend: fly in the morning, lakeside lunch at Pawna, maybe a fort viewpoint at Visapur or Lohagad, then the expressway home. October to May is the season — pick a date and message us.
