There is no paragliding inside Pune city — the real flying happens at Kamshet, about 45 km away. It is close enough for a half-day trip: leave Pune after breakfast, fly before lunch, and you can be back home by evening.
From Hinjewadi, Wakad or Baner the drive via the old Mumbai–Pune highway takes roughly 75–90 minutes. Prefer the train? The Pune–Lonavala local stops at Kamshet station, about 2 km from our meeting point near Hotel Rangoli.
At the site, everything is arranged: a certified tandem pilot, helmet and harness, a jeep ride up to the take-off hill at Tower Hill or Shelar, and 8–15 minutes in the air over Pawna Lake. GoPro photos and video of your flight are included free.
For Punekars, Kamshet is the classic weekend adventure — pair a morning flight with lunch beside Pawna Lake or a short trek up Visapur or Lohagad fort on the drive back.
