How to Reach Kamshet Paragliding — From Pune, Mumbai & Lonavala
The flying site sits beside Pawna Lake on the old Mumbai–Pune highway — easy by road or local train.
Kamshet town lies on the old Mumbai–Pune highway (NH4), about 45 km from Pune, 19 km from Lonavala and ~100 km from Mumbai. The meeting point for flights is near Hotel Rangoli, Kamshet 410405 — the exact take-off hill (Tower Hill or Shelar) is shared a day before, based on wind.
From Pune (≈45 km, 1–1.5 hrs)
- By road: old Mumbai–Pune highway via Dehu Road and Vadgaon — the fastest, most direct route from Hinjewadi/Wakad/Baner.
- By train: Pune–Lonavala local to Kamshet station, ~2 km from the meeting point — auto-rickshaws wait outside.
- From the expressway: take the Lonavala exit and come back on NH4.
From Mumbai (≈100 km, ~2.5 hrs)
- By road: Mumbai–Pune Expressway to the Lonavala exit, then old NH4 towards Pune — Kamshet is 19 km past Lonavala.
- By train: any Mumbai–Pune express train to Lonavala, then the local to Kamshet station.
- Weekend plan: leave by 6–7 AM, fly the morning slot, lunch at Pawna Lake, home by evening.
From Lonavala (≈19 km, ~30 min)
Straight down the old highway towards Pune — the easiest trip of all. Local trains on the Lonavala–Pune line stop at Kamshet as well.

- Reach the meeting point at your confirmed slot time — morning and afternoon windows run roughly 8 AM–6 PM.
- Parking is available near the meeting point; the jeep to the take-off hill is part of your package.
